    Course Objective

    This course focuses on system hardware from the basic ground level and prepares you or your organization to achieve good knowledge for successfully deploying and managing multiple system setup.

    • Introduction to basic computer & its operation
    • Hardware vs. Software | OS vs. Application Software | GUI vs. CLI / TUI
    • Basic working knowledge in Windows XP Environment
    • Memory units. & some basic std. abbreviation
    • Digital System & basic computer organization
    • Concept of BIOS and exploring its important features
    • Identification of all available physical interfaces / ports on a system board
    • Hardware Assembling & Dissembling
    • Theory of Operating System – M$ DOS, Windows, Linux, Solaris & Apple MAC.
    • Understanding the File System & Boot Process
    • Working in depth with M$ DOS – CLI operations
    • Windows Installation – Win98SE / XP / Vista
    • Concept & installation of device driver – chipset / graphics / sound / LAN & additional if any.
    • Linux installation & exploring Gnome / KDE desktop
    • Dual / Multi booting implementation – XP / Vista & Linux
    • Hardware theory in depth – Processor, Mother board, Memory, FDD, HDD & CD/DVD drive
    • Understanding & working with Windows Specific Application – System Restore, Backup, Disk Clean Up, Disk Defragmenter, Disk Manager, Creating user a/c and more.
    • Working with some 3rd party application – M$ Office 2k3, Nero Express, WinZip / WinRAR | Disk imaging technology, etc.
    • Concept of Internet | Windows dialup style broadband configuration setup
    • Concept & importance of Anti-Virus software | Installation, configuration & Updating virus signature.
    • Understanding the importance of software update – Upgrade Patch / Windows Service Pack | Concept of Windows MMX Engine – DirectX & its Upgrade
    • Various trouble shooting
    • Discussion & Interaction with latest technology
